An empirical study on investors′ personality and behavioural biases in portfolio managers Abstract A variety of studies has investigated the correlation between market participants′ personality and their susceptibility to behavioural biases, whereby most studies examined private investors or mixed samples of private and professional investors. Hence, we gathered data for 41 portfolio managers from internationally active investment organizations using an online-questionnaire. Results of our work show significant correlations between the susceptibility to behavioural biases and specific personality traits, which include interesting differences compared to previous findings.
